2025 Gratitude Report

2025 GRATITUDE REPORT

Our Home. Our Heart. Our Lungs.
Protecting what sustains us—together.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge that the Credit River Watershed lies within the Treaty Lands and traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and is part of the broader territories of the Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat Peoples. Today, it remains home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples.

This land and water have been cared for since time immemorial. We honour this enduring relationship and recognize our shared responsibility to protect and steward the watershed for future generations.

WELCOME
On behalf of our Board of Directors and leadership team at Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVCF), we are proud to share the 2025 Gratitude Report.

This report reflects the continued generosity and trust of the  individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and community partners who believe in protecting and strengthening the Credit River Watershed—often described as the heart and lungs of our community.

Every day, alongside Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), we respond to evolving environmental, social, and funding realities. Doing so requires remaining agile, forward-looking, and deeply rooted in strong local relationships with municipalities, Indigenous partners, community organizations, landowners, and residents across the watershed.

In 2025, philanthropic support advanced CVC’s core priorities—from habitat restoration and community engagement to the continued growth of the Credit Valley Trail. At a time of increasing demand, industry change, and shifting funding, your support ensured we could act early, adapt to change, and remain proactive.

Because of you, the Credit River Watershed continues to function as a living system—providing clean water, supporting biodiversity, cooling our communities, and enhancing quality of life for generations to come.

Every achievement shared in this report is possible because of you.

With deepest gratitude,

Ed Arundell,

Our watershed is our home — and protecting it is a shared responsibility.

Together, we can continue caring for our land, rivers, and communities.
Every action—big or small—has a ripple effect when we work in partnership.

What matters most to you?

We want to hear from you. What inspires you to support conservation? Which projects resonate? Which experiences in nature make you feel most connected?

Your insight helps us shape the future of the Credit River Watershed.

Ways to stay involved and make a difference:

  • Give in a way that matters to you — monthly gifts, one-time contributions, or a donation in honour of someone special.
  • Join the fun and support conservation — take part in our 50/50 Lottery while funding SNAP programming and local stewardship.
  • Connect with community leaders — become part of the Women of the Watershed Giving Circle, driving impact and collaboration.
  • Celebrate together at our Gala — Friday, September 18, 2026, at Lionhead Golf and Conference Centre. Sponsorships available.
