The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVC Foundation) is the charitable arm of Credit Valley Conservation (CVC). Established in 1964, the CVC Foundation exists to inspire people and organizations to donate to support CVC’s vision of a thriving environment that protects, connects and sustains us.

Our Mission
To raise funds and awareness in support of the conservation projects carried out by Credit Valley Conservation that protect, connect and sustain the health and well-being of the watershed and its communities.
Realizing Our Mission
Key CVC programs funded by our donors through the CVC Foundation include: Conservation Youth Corps, Land Acquisition, Credit Valley Trail and the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail.
Our Goal
Our goal is to improve the local environment for the well-being of our communities by supporting and enabling CVC to achieve the following strategic directions:
- Secure new conservation lands to protect their benefit to the environment and connect more people with nature.
- Build capacity for our education programs to increase environmental literacy among youth, adults and new Canadians
- Train, mentor and inspire youth to be future environmental champions.
- Work with our partners to develop a Credit Valley Trail that connects the waterfront to the headwaters, celebrates our shared local history and creates a strong sense of place and emotional connection to the Credit River and its valley.
- Develop and maintain trail systems with accessible options within our conservation areas that connect to other trail systems and features of historic, cultural and environmental importance.
Fundraising Committees
Our work is supported and greatly accomplished through our local fundraising groups and committees.
Our local fundraising groups are sub-committees of the Foundation Board. They identify opportunities and/or methods to raise funds in support of specific, board approved projects and take the lead in championing and implementing those fundraising efforts.
