2022 Supporters

Thank You to our 2022 Donors & Supporters

We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from our donors, partners and friends. In 2022, we raised $901,793 and made a $504,378 contribution to CVC programs and projects including:

  • Students for Stormwater School Rain Gardens $53,798
    • Since the program began in 2021, over 4,800 volunteers and youth from six different schools have participated in the project activities. CVC has engaged over 91,000 community residents through the project and planted over 4,300 plants, trees and shrubs.
  • Brook Trout Habitat Restoration $23,000
    • This project reconnects brook trout to spawning habitats in the Credit River headwaters in Orangeville. After completion, over 2,000 square metres of land and 420 metres of shoreline will be restored, and 390 trees and shrubs will be planted.
  • Community Tree Planting $10,200
    • 1,732 corporate and community participants were engaged through 60 events. Together, 6,509 native trees and shrubs were planted restoring 32,820 metres squared of land.
  • Low Impact Development Training $26,771
    • Partnering with likeminded conservation authorities through the Sustainable Technologies Evaluation Program (STEP), CVC continues to revolutionize research, guidelines and training related to urban water issues. In 2022, CVC hosted online training sessions to 704 individuals and reached 43,500 through online video tutorials.
  • Building Capacity to Reduce Community Heat Vulnerability in Brampton $189,576
    • In 2021 and 2022, 17,500 community members were reached through 146 events. As a result, 2,878 native trees and shrubs were planted which will sequester 28 tonnes of carbon annually.
