The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVCF) Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel our 15th annual Conservation Gala that was rescheduled for October 1, 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic.
Based on current COVID-19 restrictions and related forecasts to the end of the year, the CVCF Board of Directors feels it is best to reschedule the event for May 6, 2021. We know this is the right decision for the safety of our guests, sponsors, vendors, staff and volunteers who remain our top priority.
CVC Foundation acknowledges the generous support of our sponsors, donors and attendees who contribute to and participate in the annual Conservation Gala. These contributions are a vital investment in the health of our local environment, impacting our watershed now and for generations to come.
ABOUT THE CONSERVATION GALA
Now in its 15th year, the Conservation Gala is a signature environmental networking and fundraising event in support of local and regional conservation initiatives in the Credit River Watershed. Since its inception in 2006, the Gala has raised and invested over $2.5 million in projects that protect and enhance the local environment for present and future generations.
Generously supported by corporate and individual sponsors and guests, proceeds from the event go toward Credit Valley Conservation programs, including the Conservation Youth Corps program, the Credit Valley Trail initiative and securing land for environmental preservation. More information is available at www.conservationgala.ca.
ABOUT CREDIT VALLEY CONSERVATION FOUNDATION
Established in 1964, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation is a registered environmental charity working to help protect and conserve the lands and waters of the Credit River Watershed. The Foundation accomplishes this by raising funds in support of the valuable conservation projects carried out by Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) that protect the health and well-being of the flora and fauna, the watershed and its inhabitants for today and tomorrow.
ABOUT CREDIT VALLEY CONSERVATION
Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River Watershed. Our watershed is defined by the area of land where all rainfall, snowmelt and runoff drain into lands and waters flowing into the Credit River. CVC creates connections between people and nature, knowledge and action. We inspire a deep appreciation for the role of nature in keeping people connected, healthy and happy. CVC is a member of Conservation Ontario.
